Last Thursday I attended the Carol's Daughter Holiday Soiree and I had a ball!  I saw a tweet about the event the day of (yes, I really need to check Twitter more often).  I almost talked myself out of going for several reasons:

1) I would have to go straight from work (didn't think my outfit was fashion blogger material)
2) I didn't bring my camera (shame on me for not having it handy at all times, but glad my Evo takes decent pics)
3) The weather was yucky...raining cats & dogs

And...well in spite of leaving my umbrella in the car and getting soaked leaving work, I still opted to go.  I was the first one to arrive which resulted in me being asked to be a hair model.  I was elated since I was wearing a wash-n-go, but then MORTIFIED when I realized I hadn't combed my hair and someone else would be touching it :/.  Kim really knows her stuff!  She whipped up this really cute updo with the help of the Carol's Daughter styling products.  I was particularly impressed with the Macadamia Hold & Control Smoother!  This product as well as everything in the store was 20% of during the event so I was able to pick up some goodies just in time for the holidays.  Because I agreed to be the hair "model", I also had the pleasure of receiving a complimentary gelish manicure which otherwise was given to a select few whose tickets were chosen during raffles which were held every 15 minutes.  I was super excited about my mani because I love nail polish, but since I work in a laboratory it doesn't last.  This was my first gelish manicure and I was impressed by the speedy drying time (<10 minutes).  I've been chip-free for 4 days even after preparing Christmas dinner, washing the after dinner dishes, and wrapping gifts for my kiddos!  I really could go on & on about my nails, but I think you get the picture :).  If you're in the Atlanta area and would like a really fun (and long lasting) manicure, please check Shara out.  And please please check out Carol's Daughter for great skin and hair care products!
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
XoXo,
TiaLou
