A Weekend in Charleston

A couple of weeks ago the kiddos and I took a weekend trip to Charleston.  I had driven through, but never visited.  I immediately fell in love with the historic homes, palm trees, and big spooky oaks.  We visited some of the historic sites and enjoyed Charleston's southern cuisine.  We toured the Magnolia Plantation and, although beautiful, it was chilling to see an actual plantation.  Charleston is an amazing city and I definitely plan to go back.  This trip also made me realize that it's important to take a breather from time to time.  The kids and I had a blast and I left feeling much more equipped to deal with this months events.  Hope your week is off to a great start!
